Eye Lid Surgery or blepharoplasty aims to tighten or remove sagging skin around the eye, resulting in a smoother and younger appearance. Surgery can be performed on upper lids, lower lids, or both. Our technique includes placement within the natural eyelid crease for both operations. By this way, it is possible to hide scars originating from the surgery on the crease. In addition to skin tightening, it is possible to intervene with eye bags.

Lower Lid Surgery is carried out with fat repositioning (not fat removal) because during aging process, some patients can absorb a substantial amount of the fat from the inside of their eye sockets. If surgical fat removal or excessive manipulation had been undertaken in such a patient, the orbit may hollow and may have a more skeletal look in long term. Dropping eyelids can block and reduce vision of patients and that’s why it is common to feel tiredness and sleepiness while reading and watching television if one has such a problem. Patients who undergo eye lid surgery can have a better vision and can improve their daily activities.
